CAWIC celebrated it's five years of success November 17th with an elegant cocktail reception held at the Bata Shoe Museum. Over a hundred guests joined in the festivities which encompassed CAWIC's Annual Holiday Event and Silent Auction, proceeds from which benefited the CAWIC Bursary Fund. The theme for the event was "From Steel Toes to Stilettos", and guests were asked to guess which steel toes and stilettos belonged to CAWIC's three presidents.

CAWIC's Founding President, Angela Wilson; Past President, Debbie Wadsworth; and Current President, Mira Fabian shared their insights and CAWIC's progress and accomplishments during their respective tenures. Guest speaker Clive Thurston, President of Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA), congratulated the Association and reinforced the OGCA's partnership with CAWIC. Congratulatory letters were received from numerous organizations and individual supporters of CAWIC.

Bursary Chair Audrey Freidin, introduced to the Association this year's CAWIC Bursary recipients, Ryerson students, Lisa Hering and Hong-Li Wong.

Angela and Don Wilson surprised and overwhelmed members and supporters with a generous $3000 personal donation to CAWIC's Bursary Fund.
