SPECIAL EVENTS
The Special Events function area is responsible for the organization and implementation of several key annual events, supporting both internal and external fundraising efforts of CAWIC, such as the CAWIC Bursaries and targeted charitable events and organizations that are consistent with CAWIC's mission.

PROGRAMS
The role of Programs is to organize the regular monthly programming events and activities of benefit to our membership and in support of CAWIC’s core values. The committee is charged with planning, developing and managing the connections with and between CAWIC members, local industry, educational institutions and community organizations.

MEMBERSHIP
The role of Membership is to oversee the growth and development of CAWIC’s membership. Charged with developing strategies for recruitment, managing members and potential members' enquiries and representing CAWIC at industry events, this is a vital role to fulfilling CAWIC's mission.

BURSARY and AWARDS
Awards bursaries to female students enrolled in a construction related field; prepares an information package and application form for distribution to colleges and universities; reviews applications and selects award recipients; arranges presentation of the awards at a general meeting.

MARKETING
Marketing manages the internal and external communications and marketing of CAWIC. The Director and committee members work to create clear, concise and consistent messages to communicate with members, partners, sponsors, media, industry and government. It develops communication standards by creating and maintaining a CAWIC brand and distributing relevant information to the appropriate target markets about events, activities, important changes or other newsworthy information.

INDUSTRY RELATIONS
The role of Industry Relations is to build and maintain relationships with local and national industry associations; corporate partners and sponsors; as well as government agencies. It is responsible for keeping CAWIC abreast of the latest industry news and research as well as creating partnerships or collaborations where desirable to ensure that CAWIC enjoys a respected leading national voice for women in the Canadian construction industry.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The role of Community Outreach is to support community organizations that share CAWIC's mission. Since incorporation, CAWIC had proudly supported Habitat for Humanity and Women Build.
