Call for Employer Partners

Show your Leadership! Make a difference!

CAWIC was awarded funding to develop an action plan for distribution to industry stakeholders with the specific objective of increasing the number of women moving into leadership roles within the Canadian construction industry. CAWIC conducted research, consulted with industry stakeholders, designed and implemented the Action Plan in collaboration with participating female employees and industry employers over a period of 36 months. We required the input of industry employer partners to identify and develop specific strategies to address internal and external challenges in the hiring, retention and advancement of female employees.

Employer partners were asked to contribute feedback on specific experiences, success stories and challenges, through in person and/or telephone meetings, focus groups, round table discussions and surveys. Our employer partners assisted in promoting and encouraging support and participation in as well as implementation of the CAWIC Level Best Project across the industry.

CAWIC undertook this Project through the generous support of Status of Women Canada, in kind donations from industry leaders and CAWIC's dedicated volunteers and corporate supporters.

We encourage industry employers across Canada to adopt the Action Plan whether in whole or in part.
